Dettes // Debts

(English translation below)

An additional week has passed, with long hours sitting in front of the computer, or standing and singing in front of the mic, or sitting while doing nothing else but praying. Martin Luther said that the more he had a heavy schedule, the more he would spend time praying. Sometimes it’s stress and fatigue that make us fall on our knees. But the distance between the ground and our knees is the longest distance between us and God. And prayer is not an place from which we come out the same.

So this week was very intense, I could deliver a few additional songs, and most of them are almost finished. There’s work remaining, but the end is near. One or two additional weeks!!!!

And I have lots of debts. It is not about money, it is about giving thanks. Once again, wonderful people spent time, energy, and talent to come and make a beautiful bunch of bonds out of these songs. First it was my sister Nono, who is involved a lot in the project. Despite being tired, she came and sang and encouraged me and taught me a lot of things about singing. Then came Serge-Henri Edmond, who added his deep bass voice to a reggae-like song (I forgot to take pictures!!!). Then Marina Vuilleumier came as well, spening an entire day with Nono to sing background vocals. And finally Ana helped me with the computer while we were in front of the mic.

They are only a small portion of all the extraordinary people who gave me a hand. You may have seen a lot of them on this blog. Yes, I am indebted to them a lot. I will never be able to thank them enough. Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!

Last, but not least, I learned something special last Friday. Nono was going to record her song but she was tired, so she asked me to take her hands and pull her hard while she was recording. At the beginning I thought she was joking. But she was not!!!! She told me it was an exercise she learned in her singing classes. Given we have to resist to the person who pulls you, it brings energy and it gives strength to the voice. So I pulled Nono for a good part of the recording!!!!
