Money money...

(English version below)

OoooooooooooooooO

So the budget is done. How will I finance this? For the first CD, I worried a lot about money. I had started to think about this project in the measure of my means. My philosophy was: “Don’t expect too much, and you will not be disappointed too much.”

Oh, man of little faith!

I must continually learn the words of Jesus: “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. ” (Mat 6.25,33). Yes, I must learn to have the right priorities, not to worry, trust !

Then a friend of mine got me in touch with a man who said he wanted to help me. He told me he was ready to lend me the money for the project. Pure grace. I was definitely not worthy of this, I had done nothing to receive this. It was the encouragement I needed to think bigger.

At the same time, I was still worried. It was big money for me, and the contract said I had two years to reimburse him. What if I failed? What if this CD was so bad that no one would buy it?

Oh, man of little faith!

What was interesting with this contract is that he could have given me this money instead of lending it. He is rich enough for that. I admit that at the beginning I preferred the first option! Now I realise that it was exactly the kind of pedagogy I needed. I would not have worked so much, I would not have developed the project this much if I did not have to refund this loan. Now I am very grateful for this wisdom he had.

Finally the loan was payed back thanks to the CD selling, and the profit allowed me to need a less important loan for the second album. In November, I went back to see my benefactor with the budget, and he agreed with it. The project could officially begin.

Oh, man who learns faith…
