Histoire de batterie / Drums Story

Au bout de deux semaines d'enregistrements intensifs de voix et de guitare pour pouvoir aller en studio avec la batterie, le jour tant attendu est arrivé !
Donc, je récapitule: contrairement au premier CD, où la batterie était semi-électronique (c'est à dire que ce n'était pas une vraie batterie, mais des sons de vrai batterie, euh...enfin bref), l'idée est cette fois est d'avoir un batteur humain. Si, si. Avec une tête, des bras, des jambes, toute la panoplie, quoi! Et il se trouve que je suis tombé sur un humain qui avait tout ça, accompagné d'un redoutable talent. Il s'appelle Rémi et c'est un un régal...Récit en image!

After two weeks of intense voice and guitar recordings to be ready to go in the studio with the drums, the day has come!
So, here's a quick reminder: on the first CD, the drums where semi-electronic (it was not real drums, but real sounds of drums, called sample...huh...well). The idea for this one is to have a real human drummer. Not kidding. With head, arms, legs, all the needed pieces, yes! And it turned out I found one human with all that, with a wonderful additional feature: talent. He's called Rémi and is realy great...Here's the story.

Après une matinée de réglage, Rémi peut commencer à jouer...
En fin d'après-midi, 5 chansons sont dans la boite! /

PS: Regardez bien le piano qu'il y a derrière Rémi. Le studio vient de l'acheter, c'est un Yamaha fait main, Norah Jones a joué dessus au dernier festival de Montreux. J'espère qu'ils ne l'ont pas nettoyé depuis parce que je vais sûrement enregistrer dessus un de ces jours, hé hé... /

PS: Have a close look at the piano behind Rémi. The studio just bought it, it is a hand-made Yamaha, and Norah Jones played on it at the last Montreux Festival. I hope it was not cleaned since this concert, because I may record with this piano some day, he he...
